How to make a horse movie about people.
You’ve never made a movie. You love horses. You make an award-winning documentary at Sundance Film Festival called BUCK that honors the legendary horse whisperer Buck Branaman. A life-affirming horse movie about people.

Thank you everyone at the Do Lectures for inviting Cindy Meehl to be your opening keynote at the Do Lectures USA 2011 inaugural event. What an honor!
Cindy’s inspiration to become a documentary filmmaker originated from being a participant at a horse clinic with Buck Brannaman, but the fuel to complete the project comes from her heart and love of animals. First time filmmaker, first time keynote speaker, full time humanitarian.
Dear Cindy: 4-17-12
I love BUCK the film. thank you for this incredible viewpoint of a man – quiet, shy. and strong. and the invincibleness of ever forward continuum survival. May I make a suggestion for a future documentary. SPIRIT WIND HORSE RESCUE. in Delta County, Colorado – does some grand work at rescuing and rehabilitating the horses. Would definitely be insights worth noting for the world to view.
Sincerely,
Karen Harris
