Ive had the pleasure of knowing Mick for a number of years, we made music, movies, partied, chilled out, worked but best of all grown up together. Every step of the way and inspiration.
So humble. Truly inspirational. Applause.
Tears of love and inspiration flowed as I listened to the ‘itchy boy’. Seldom, if ever, do you see the manifestation of completely real in a human being. Micky Smith is the very best of nature. The video is breath-taking and has left me speechless. I’ve been touched by an angel.

guy is amazingly open and natural – this is cool – that’s what you get from wild,nature,lack of hitec crowd and inspiration that is given by a nature….sometimes we forget about this…. especially in big metropolis..

I have showed Mickey’s film to my teenage daughter and she was really moved… I, personally was not only moved but humbled too… I also surf, love the Ocean and am passing this on to my kids… I will show them the film and want to get it showed at their school, too many kids are confused nowadays… they need inspiration… Thanks for sharing the stoke Mickey.
Mickey is a legend – humble and honest. I’m gonna bust out my copies of ABC and against the grain and watch them again.

You put into words some of my thoughts. I often run long distances in the mountains of Utah and have a hard time describing my passion to others. Thanks for giving me hope and ideas on how to express the feelings I have in a way people might understand. “If there’s no future in it, at least it’s a present worth remembering.” Well said!

Watched “Dark Side of the Lens” last year, but had no idea he was invited to speak at Do Lectures, until now. What a treat to see him speak about his passion once again. He just seems to have the right words. Excellent and very moving talk and film.

my favorite Do Lecture so far.
Saw an ocean vid that Micky in West of Ireland on magic seaweed and was one of the most beautiful, poetic, heartfelt pieces of film art that I’ve ever scene!! Breathtaking beauty and very unique observations and passion! Micky Smith is a rare find in this modern age! Cheers to u brutha!!
