Hello-I ran across your video by accident but am so glad that I did. I paint and everything you say makes so much sense.
For years I felt that talented artists were born and I didn’t have a chance. Attending 12 years of Catholic school added to that as art was a foreign subject. If I doodled it was the alphabet over and over. My second husband is a trained artist who put his art life on hold for 25 years but now has returned to art. His expression helped me loosen and on a stressful day 8 years ago I started to draw and paint. Childlike yes but I can’t stop. My subject cities, flowers, people and anything that catches my fancy. To keep going and buy supplies I thought I should try to sell my work. Beginning on eBay (in 2004) I have sold 1700 paintings/drawings world wide. I have many set aside but I do let the mass stop me. Near me on the computer I have a messy table with watercolors, acrylics and oils always ready to go. I know I am not everyone’s cup of tea so?… it is my enjoyment and I want joy often.
Thank you for hitting the nail on the head and I wish you so much success.
